Peter bites his lip, fidgeting slightly as he tries to figure out how to put what has become his life's mission into words.
"It's something my uncle said, before he died. About how if you can do good things for other people, you have a responsibility to do those things." He takes a deep breath, shoulders raising then falling. "My uncle died trying to do a good thing. Something I could have done, but I didn't. I guess I fight crime for him. So that something like that doesn't happen again."
He looks down at the mask in his hands, still-gloved thumbs rubbing over the fabric.
"I wear the suit first because it inspires people. It's become more than just a guy in a suit. Spider-Man is a symbol, one that people need to see and believe in, I guess. But the second reason is so that the people close to me don't get hurt."
